The Connection Cottage is a soulful garden in Atlanta where strangers become family between sunset and midnight. We gather on the full moon. We heal on the weekends. And nobody has to fly anywhere or pay $8,000 to feel something real.
There's a deeper exhaustion running through people right now. The exhaustion of scrolling through crisis after crisis and wondering, what difference can I actually make? The loneliness of being surrounded by people but feeling truly seen by no one. The ache of knowing something sacred lives inside you but having no space to let it breathe.
Cliff felt all of it. After years in corporate America and a growing spiritual practice that felt disconnected from his daily life, he asked himself one question: what if transformation didn't require a plane ticket? So he lit a bonfire in his garden on the full moon and invited people to come sit around it. Something shifted that night. Strangers became family between sunset and midnight. And by the next full moon, word had already spread.
What grew from that first fire is now the Connection Cottage: full moon gatherings, wellness weekends, workshops, and deeply personal one-on-one journeys that welcome you home to your Self. Playfully, safely, and surrounded by people who actually give a damn.
"You can create heaven right where you live. Your home can be your launchpad. Your garden can be your temple. That's what H.O.M.E. means to us."
"Home is a feeling we develop through ceremony, through dance, through conversation, through community. And then we take it with us everywhere we go."
Every offering is an invitation to feel completely accepted for who you are, exactly as you arrive. Healing can find its home right where you stand.
Yoga, intention setting, joyful ecstatic dance, and a closing heart circle, all under the full moon with community, fire, and more food than anyone planned on. Each gathering supports a local nonprofit and explores moon wisdom from cultures around the globe.

— Wellness Weekend Participant
The Connection Cottage was born from a simple conviction: you shouldn't have to leave your life to transform it. You can turn wherever you are into a sanctuary. You don't have to travel far to arrive somewhere new.
We create experiences that welcome you home to your truest Self. Through ceremony, dance, conversation, and community, we develop a feeling of belonging so deep that it travels with you... into your work, your relationships, your hardest and most beautiful days.
You carry the cottage feeling with you. That's the whole point. We don't create a magical escape you can't replicate. We ignite something inside you that stays lit long after the fire goes out.
"The incredible sense of emotional safety. The ability to feel completely, unconditionally loved. I've flown back three times because nothing else compares."
— Wellness Weekend Guest, OhioWhether it's a full moon under the stars or a deeply personal wellness journey, the first step is simply showing up.
Where cultural anthropology, therapeutic wisdom, and a garden bonfire converge into something that changes lives.
LightFootCliff (Cliff Trammel) is a cultural anthropologist, neighborhood mystic, former corporate DJ turned ecstatic dance facilitator, ceremony officiant, and therapeutic counseling student. The simplest way to describe him is this: he's the person who lights the fire and holds space for whatever needs to come through.
Before the Connection Cottage existed, Cliff spent fourteen years running an entertainment company and eventually became Director of Culture & Experience in corporate America. On paper, it looked like success. In reality, he was spiritually exhausted... overwhelmed by the state of the world, drained by the predictability of his days, and asking himself one question over and over: what difference can I actually make?
The answer was deceptively simple. It starts at home. So he lit a bonfire in his garden on the full moon and invited people to come connect. That first night, people who barely knew each other began telling the truth. Strangers became family between sunset and midnight. And by the next full moon, word had already spread.
What grew from that fire has surprised even him. His background in cultural anthropology, years of facilitating human connection, pilgrimages to sacred sites from the Yucatan to Ram Dass's home in Hawaii to the Transylvanian Alps, and deep study under the teachings of Ram Dass... all of these threads started weaving themselves into something he didn't have a name for yet. The Connection Cottage became that name.
"This is a different iteration of every skill I've ever built. Shaped by pilgrimages to sacred places around the world. And grounded in one simple belief: you can live connected to your spirit and soul without burning down your life."
Cliff is currently pursuing his master's degree in therapeutic counseling, because the work people bring to this space deserves that level of care and training. Every gathering, every wellness weekend, every journey is undergirded by therapeutic theory, trauma-informed approaches, somatic practices, and a deep commitment to emotional safety.
But don't let that make you think this is clinical. We talk about painful things, yes. And we practice forgiveness around them. We move our bodies. We sing. We drum. We destroy beautifully crafted cheese trays as an exercise in releasing attachment... watching something carefully built crumble apart, and finding freedom in the dismantling. It's a small practice in ego death: the recognition that what we cling to can be released, that what falls apart can become something more beautiful. We cry and we dance and we come home to ourselves. That's what this place is for.
"With the right community of guidance and support, people can transform where they're at. You don't need a plane ticket and a week off work. You can have a deeply transformative experience right here, in your own city, in your own life, without leaving either one behind."
"Create heaven in your own home. Let your life be the ceremony. Let your garden be the temple."
It was Ellen Server who first saw the potential in that backyard fire. Eighty-three years old, light-up sneakers, fuchsia hair, and twenty-two in her heart. Ellen is a behaviorist by training... someone who watches human patterns with the same sharpness most people reserve for puzzles. She looked at what was growing in that garden and said, "You need to do this for real." Ellen became the mother energy of this community: the one who saw what the cottage could be before anyone else did, who encouraged Cliff to trust what was unfolding, and who still shows up with the kind of fierce tenderness that makes everyone braver.
Before the first official gathering, LightFootCliff went on three pilgrimages for his 40th birthday. He traveled to Ram Dass's home in Maui to meditate and connect with the spiritual foundation of his own life. He visited Agnes in Bacalar, Mexico—the woman who changed his life as a teenager and introduced him to the idea that he was loved exactly as he is. And he went to the mountains to meditate with friends. When he returned, he sat in the garden beneath the property's single oak tree and asked it a question: "What is the name of this place?" The tree's answer came with a clarity he still can't fully explain: This is a cottage where people connect. "You've been here longer than me," Cliff recalls thinking, "and you'll be here long after I'm gone. I'm just a steward for right now." The Connection Cottage became that name.
Month after month, the gatherings grew. What started as a bonfire became a full evening: yoga under the fading sun, intention setting as the moon rose, ecstatic dance to world fusion rhythms, and a closing heart circle where people shared what moved through them. We smudge sage at the gate when you arrive. We invite you to leave the last month at the door. And by the time you leave, you've remembered something important about yourself.
Then there was the cheese tray. During one of the earliest wellness weekends, a guest named Jamie Via spent hours crafting an elaborate charcuterie spread—arranging every grape and every slice with intention, building something beautiful. And then she was invited to destroy it. Not just eat it. Demolish it. Pull it apart with her hands, make a mess of it, watch something carefully constructed fall to pieces.
It became one of the most powerful exercises she'd ever done. Because the cheese tray is a mirror. We build identities the same way—carefully, deliberately—and then we cling to them. The practice of joyfully destroying what you made teaches you something your mind alone can't: that what falls apart can be rebuilt into something truer. That ego death doesn't have to be terrifying. That letting go can taste like brie and fig jam. Jamie has since returned three more times. She's already planning her fourth journey.
"Home is a feeling. We develop it through ceremony, through dance, through conversation, through community. And then we take it with us everywhere we go."
Rachel Dawn was one of the first people to feel the shift—a gifted vocalist who wandered into a gathering expecting a casual evening and found herself singing from a place she hadn't accessed in years. She became one of the cottage's most natural connectors, the person who helps new arrivals exhale and feel welcome from the moment they cross the threshold.
Son of the Moon, a muralist who has painted backdrops for Madonna, created the first mural on the cottage's garden fence. He saw the space and said, "This needs art that breathes." That mural has become a landmark—a visual invitation that tells you before you even step inside: this is a place where creativity lives out loud.
And the thing that grew from all of this... from the fire and Ellen's encouragement and the cheese tray and the music and the moonlit dances... is something LightFootCliff describes simply: an incubator for the soul. A place where healing can find its home.
Everything we create is centered in unconditional love and the practice of loving awareness—a name for soul, which you really are. Informed by the teachings of Ram Dass: souls love one another and tell the truth. We practice monthly forgiveness, releasing what we carry so we can love more freely.
Our experiences are informed by therapeutic modalities, trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and Safe and Sound Protocol. Growth with guardrails. Transformation with real training behind it. Every experience includes proper integration so what you discover here lasts long after you leave.
Every person who walks through the gate is met with complete acceptance. Corporate executives and immigrant families. LGBTQ+ community and allies. All faiths and none. Elders in their 80s and seekers in their 20s. All belong here.
The best way to understand the Connection Cottage is to walk through the gate.

Playfully, safely, and held in community.
Once a month, on the full moon, we gather. You arrive, decompress, and let the last month fall away. Then we move together through community yoga, intention setting, the wisdom of the moon cycle, and ecstatic dance to world fusion rhythms... the kind of movement where your body remembers what joy actually feels like.
We close with a heart circle where people share what moved through them. There's food, fire, music from around the world, and the kind of connection you simply cannot find on a screen.
Each gathering carries a seasonal theme and explores cultural moon traditions from around the globe—Muscogee harvest teachings, West African drumming traditions, Jewish seasonal celebrations, Sufi whirling meditations, and more. Every moon carries a different teaching. Every gathering plants a different seed. The monthly practice of forgiveness keeps our hearts clean toward ourselves and the world around us.
Each series also supports a local nonprofit through donations.
Full-day immersive experiences for those ready to go deeper. Each workshop is built around a specific theme: forgiveness practices, somatic movement, creative expression, embodied storytelling. Guided by experienced facilitators who've walked the path themselves.
This isn't a lecture. It's an experience you'll feel in your body. Expect to move, to create, to feel, and to leave different than you arrived. Every workshop is undergirded by therapeutic theory and trauma-informed approaches, while remaining playful, warm, and deeply human.
Lunch and refreshments are included in every workshop, prepared with the same care and intention as everything else here.
This is our most transformative offering. A multi-week program that begins with four preparation sessions where we get to know you deeply, moves into a curated two-day immersion at the cottage, and continues with integration sessions afterward to help you carry what you've found back into your daily life.
Every detail of your weekend is designed around you. What you need. What you're carrying. What you're ready to release. Past journeys have woven together mindfulness walks, pottery, karaoke, Reiki, life coaching, massage, and moments nobody saw coming.
This is the alternative to flying somewhere exotic and spending a fortune. Same depth. Same transformation. No passport required. Just a garden in Atlanta and a community of healers who've dedicated their lives to holding this kind of space.
"What drove me to go on this inner journey was an inner feeling that told me it's time to go deeper into myself and to heal. My want to have a guided process help me get deeper into myself was pivotal in my spiritual and personal growth.
I felt very prepared leading up to the journey. Cliff was attentive and always present with me for any and all questions. The journey starts with the preparation and Cliff starts that process with plenty of time to process and consider all possibilities. I was given all the resources I needed to dive into my own research of what I am getting myself into.
During the day of my journey I felt ready but nervous. Cliff did an amazing job making me feel safe and at home even though I'm not in my own home. I loved how much Cliff makes the journey itself sacred and special and unique. Instead of jumping straight into the journey when I arrived, there were full circle moments that reminded me of the work I did in the previous week to prepare for the journey.
After the journey, I saw life through a different lens. It wasn't overwhelming, it was beautiful. My every day decisions are now based off of what I learned about myself during my journey. My internal compass has been fine tuned to point me on my right path.
If you're feeling called to take this significant step in your personal growth journey, I heavily encourage anyone to do it. If you're seriously considering it, Cliff will make sure that you're protected and safe and that it will be worth your time. He knows what he's doing. I'm so happy that I did this journey and I will always remember my experience for the rest of my life."

Each gathering explores the cultural wisdom of the moon from a different global tradition—Muscogee, West African, Jewish, Persian, Sufi, and more. Different people, different stories, the same fire. Think of it as a spiritual National Geographic around the bonfire: every month, a new culture's relationship with the moon is woven into the evening's intention, music, and teaching.
"Every moon carries a different teaching from a different corner of the world. Every gathering plants a different seed. It's a journey around the globe without leaving Atlanta."
We gather about an hour before sunset and journey together through movement, music, and meaning until the moon is high.
Walk up the driveway, be greeted with sage if you'd like, and let the last month fall away. You're home now.
